These terms are the agreement between you and AlignCanvas ("we", "us") for using aligncanvas.com and the AlignCanvas editor (the "Service"). By using the Service or creating an account, you agree to them.

1. The Service

AlignCanvas is a browser-based tool that animates your images with motion templates and exports them as video, GIF or image files. All rendering happens on your device. The Service is currently in beta: features may change, be added or be removed, and things may occasionally not work as expected.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to create an account.

2. Your account

Exporting requires a free account. Give us an email address you control, keep your sign-in details secure, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You can stop using the Service at any time, and ask us to delete your account by emailing hello@aligncanvas.com.

3. Your content

You keep all rights to the images and other material you add to AlignCanvas ("Your Content"). Your Content stays on your device and is never uploaded to us, so we claim no licence to it.

You confirm that you own Your Content or have permission to use it, and that using it in AlignCanvas and in your exports doesn't infringe anyone's rights or break any law.

4. Your exports

The videos, GIFs and images you export are yours to use however you like, including commercially: for clients, products, ads, social posts and portfolios, with no attribution required.

The sample images built into the editor are AlignCanvas artwork, provided so you can try the templates. Replace them with your own images before you publish an export.

5. Our rights

AlignCanvas itself (the software, the templates and their designs, the motion engine, the name, logo and website) belongs to us and our licensors. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; they don't give you ownership of it. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the templates or the editor itself, or offer them as part of another product.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use AlignCanvas to:

• create or spread illegal content, or content that sexually exploits children;
• infringe copyright, trademarks or other people's rights, or impersonate anyone;
• harass, threaten or defame anyone, or create deceptive content meant to mislead;
• attack, overload, probe or disrupt the Service, or get around its plan limits or security;
• copy, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service to build a competing product;
• create accounts automatically, or share one paid account between many people.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

7. Plans and payment

Free. Every template, control and export format, up to 1080p. During the launch week, until 4 November 2026, exports up to 4K are free too.

Pro. When paid plans open, Pro adds 4K and custom-size exports. Prices are shown before you pay, and taxes may be added where required. Payments are processed by Stripe.

• Renewal: Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Cancelling: you can cancel at any time from your account. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
• Refunds: if you're not happy, email us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. If you're in the EU or the UK, this also covers your legal right to withdraw; by starting to use Pro straight away, you agree that it begins immediately.
• Price changes: we'll tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your subscription, and you can cancel before it does.

8. Changes to the Service and these terms

We're improving AlignCanvas all the time, and may change or stop parts of it. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you on the site or by email before the change takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can stop using it and close your account.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't promise it will always be available, error-free, or that every export will work on every device or browser. Keep your own copies of your images and exports.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.

You agree to cover us against claims by others that arise from Your Content or from your breaking these terms.

10. Ending these terms

You can stop using AlignCanvas and delete your account whenever you want. We may end these terms or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break them, or if we have to by law. If we shut the Service down entirely, we'll give you reasonable notice and refund any unused part of a paid subscription. Sections 3, 4, 5, 9 and 11 continue after these terms end.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and disputes go to its courts. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and can bring a claim in its courts. Before going to court, please email us: most problems can be solved quickly.

12. General

These terms, with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If part of them can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. You may not transfer these terms to someone else; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of the business, without reducing your rights.
