Cookie Policy
Last updated 29 October 2026
AlignCanvas doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It only stores what it needs to work: your sign-in, your settings and your current project. Because all of it is essential, we don't ask for consent before saving it.
1. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Sites can also use your browser's "local storage", which works much the same way. This policy covers both. AlignCanvas uses local storage only, and only on your own device: nothing in it is used to follow you across other websites.
2. What we store
| Name | Purpose | Kept until |
|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in to your account (set by Supabase, our sign-in provider). Only present if you sign in. | You sign out |
aligncanvas-v1 | Saves your current project, so it's still there when you come back. | You clear browser data |
ac-theme | Remembers light or dark mode, if you picked one. | You clear browser data |
ac-cats | Remembers which template categories you collapsed. | You clear browser data |
ac-seen | Remembers you've seen the editor's first-visit tip. | You clear browser data |
All of these are strictly necessary, or exist only to remember a choice you made. Under the EU and UK rules (the ePrivacy Directive and PECR), these don't need your consent.
3. Third parties
When you sign in with Google or, later, pay with Stripe, you briefly visit their pages, and they may set their own cookies under their own policies. The site's typeface is loaded from Google Fonts, and some editor code from jsDelivr; they receive your IP address to serve those files but set no cookies on aligncanvas.com.
4. Analytics
We don't use analytics cookies today. If we add analytics that need cookies, we'll ask for your consent first with a clear choice to accept or decline, and update this page before it starts.
5. Your control
You can delete everything AlignCanvas stores at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Doing so signs you out and removes your current project. You can also block site storage entirely, but the editor won't be able to remember your work or keep you signed in.
